Dolphin beach

Playa Norte

North beach (Isla Mujeres)

Playa Norte “North Beach” is not located in Cancun, but it’s just close enough and amazing enough to warrant a place on our list of best beaches in Cancun. Playa Norte is at the northern end of Isla Mujeres (a small island off Cancún’s coast) and has the best paddling water. No rocks, no waves, little seaweed; here there is only clear, warm, shallow waters. This is one of the only spots where you’ll get an uninterrupted view of the sun setting over the sea when in Cancun.

Playa Chac Mool

Feel the real Mexico beach

Playa Chac Mool Beach is named after the Chac Mool statue, a pre-Columbian sculpture found in the area. Before the development of Cancun as a tourist destination, Playa Chac Mool was a secluded and untouched beach, only accessible by boat. It was a favorite spot for local fishermen and a few adventurous travelers.

Playa Forum

Heart of the Hotel Zone

Playa Forum is one of the most popular public beaches in Cancun. In the famous Punta Cancun area which can be found just behind Coco Bongo, an infamous nightclub. The fun, lively, and social vibe here makes it one of the best places to be at the weekends. You can spend a day at the Mandala Beach Club if you’re feeling upmarket or have a casual day on the sand.
